In Bill Smoot's book Conversations with Great Teachers, he crosses the nation to find teachers in every realm of life, from the K-12 classroom to the circus to the FBI to the Outback.
Here are a few snippets from his interviews that show just how much teachers have in common, no matter who, where, what or how they're teaching.

Brainy Academy Tutoring and Enrichment Center offers a few options for parents who want their children to participate in a fun educational activity.
We have a unique program, called Brainy Builders, which is a Science with Legos class. We teach children simple physics using Legos and other building materials. Children create objects like levers, pulleys, and windmills, and with the teacher, explore how these work. We teach children practical applications for these. Children also create and participate in experiments using the scientific method.
We also have Montessori classes for children ages 3-6. The Montessori method allows children to learn at their own pace, using bright and beautiful educational objects. Children develop logic, reasoning, math, and reading skills. Studies show that children who have been in Montessori classes do better in school than their peers who did not have such preparation.
